Abstract
Building on the stimulating debate within this workshop in Ottawa, we will encourage participants contributing to the preparation and maintenance of evidence-based summaries and reviews to consider situations in which they would face ethical dilemmas, and discuss ways of addressing these situations.
Participants will have small group discussions on different scenarios and topics. These include dealing with criticisms, appraising your own study, and how the style, format and media you choose may impact on your message.
Participants will identify some of the challenges created by these circumstances, explore possible solutions and make some suggestions for other authors and editors.

Target audience: People producing summaries of evidence that involves difficult situations, such as appraising their own work

Style: Discussion workshop
