Abstract
Objectives: To demonstrate ways in which the new Cochrane Information Management System (IMS) will support the editorial workflow and help with the tracking of reviews from title registration through to review publication.
Description: Between June 2005 and May 2006, Phase 2 of the IMS will gradually be rolled out to the editorial bases of Cochrane Review Groups (CRGs). Phase 2 of the IMS replaces ModMan as a tool for preparing and submitting a CRG's module of protocols, reviews and information about the Group for publication in The Cochrane Library. When CRGs transfer to Phase 2 of the new IMS, they will receive support from their IMS Support person tailored to meet their individual needs. The workshop will offer the Super Users of CRGs who are already working in Phase 2 of the IMS, additional training on how the IMS can support them in the daily work when managing the review production process. More information will be available on www.cc-ims.net. Potential participants are encouraged to contact their IMS Support person if they have any specific queries before registering for the workshop.
Target audience: Super Users at editorial bases of CRGs that are using the IMS before October 2005 to manage and publish reviews (Phase 2 of the IMS). The workshop is not open to other types of users.
Style: Training workshop in computer room
