Abstract
Objectives: To deliver an editor's view on what constitutes a good peer-review, discuss with participants about their expectations and queries regarding peer reviewing, address and propose solutions to frequently encountered problems.

- A suitable paper for peer review will be provided in advance of the session

- 45 minutes to an hour of lecture addressing the most frequent problems and how these were identified, and then half an hour of hands on appraisal in groups, and then a forum to discuss the findings and their impact in the recommendations and conclusions.

- Tips on communicating back to authors and feedback to the journal [issues like plagiarism, undisclosed conflicts, ethical issues].
