Abstract
Objectives:

To give guidance to Cochrane entities about ways to personalise research priority setting methods to meet the needs and objectives of their entity.

Description:

Prioritisation is a hot topic in The Cochrane Collaboration and elsewhere in health and social care research. However, there is little consensus about how to approach this task. During this workshop, we will first introduce participants to different approaches that can overcome certain barriers and challenges in research priority setting exercises, based on the results of previous workshops and surveys, and including tools and guidance that have been developed such as the equity lens. Participants will be invited to share their own experiences with equity and priority setting through open discussion. Participants will then form small groups and work on either a case scenario developed by the workshop team or an example from their own Cochrane entity. They will plan strategies for developing a research priority setting exercise/process that matches the objectives and context of their Cochrane entity. Each group will share their ideas and discussion with the larger group.
