Abstract
Objectives:
To investigate how to enhance the understanding, interpretation and usefulness of graphical representations and summaries of results from a network of interventions dealing with the same clinical condition by involving different stakeholders.

Description:
The workshop will begin with a brief overview of different ways of presenting and summarizing results from multiple interventions, such as network graphs and network meta-analyses. Various examples of networks and summaries of results will be presented. Small groups will be then formed and helped by facilitators. They will be asked to discuss the presented results: how they are understood and interpreted; whether they are considered useful for their information needs and interests; whether these results can be trusted and to suggest how to make them more informative and relevant according to the type of stakeholder they represent. The inputs from this workshop will provide a contribution to the ongoing three-year research project titled “Enhancing the way the research results are summarized for evidence-based use of treatments in multiple sclerosis and influencing the future research agenda”, funded by FISM (Fondazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla) involving members of the Italian Cochrane Centre and Network.
