Abstract
Objectives:
To introduce Cochrane members to the Cochrane Register of Studies Online (CRSO). This workshop is aimed at anyone who searches in CENTRAL and is open to all Cochrane members. The CRSO is available to any Cochrane members with an Archie login: http://crso.cochrane.org/
Description:
The Cochrane Register of Studies Online (CRSO) has been developed by Metaxis as part of the Cochrane Register of Studies (CRS) project. It’s a real time version of the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), which up until now has only been available via Wiley as part of The Cochrane Library. CRSO is available to Cochrane members only and has lots of great new features to aid the discoverability of evidence for Cochrane Reviews. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the CRSO by working through searches with the help of CRS User Support Team members. We will explore search features such as building search strings from alternative drug names (using DrugBank™) and being able to check the ‘real time’ trial status in records from ClinicalTrials.gov which is now shown automatically in the CRSO version of these records. We will also look at the audit trail feature which allows users to see the date a record was created and modified along with all values that have been changed; we will explore how to report errors in CENTRAL records.
