Abstract
Objectives:
1. To review and understand how the risk of bias (RoB) tools, GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation), and 'Summary of findings' (SoF) tables link when conducting systematic reviews and developing guidelines.
2. To practice using the Cochrane RoB tool, focusing on selection and performance biases, applying GRADE and creating a SoF table.

Description:
Interest and standards are growing for the use of RoB tools and GRADE in systematic reviews and guidelines. We will provide a brief overview of how these tools and approaches fit together to improve the quality of reviews and guidelines. Participants will then work with a minimum of two studies from one systematic review and use the RoB tool to assess selection and performance biases. Following this, participants will be asked to evaluate all studies together and using the risk of bias judgements, incorporate their assessment using the GRADE approach and present results in a SoF table. Participants will have the opportunity to share their interpretations and justify their decisions making. If time permits, other criteria in the RoB and GRADE will also be explored.

The workshop will include hands-on work in small groups followed by participants presenting and sharing their interpretations of the studies and the rationale for decision making. If possible, participants will be grouped based on expertise in the topics to be discussed.
