Abstract
Objectives:
Participants will learn to use the new online software (GDT) that replaces the familiar GRADEpro to prepare 'Summary of findings' (SoF) tables for Cochrane Reviews.
Description:
This is a guided hands-on workshop using the GDT on laboratory computers.
SoF tables are an important part of Cochrane Reviews and they are highly desirable to include in Cochrane Reviews. GDT is the new online software for creating SoF tables. It can be used on PC and Mac computers. It can import data and analyses from RevMan 5 files, guide users through creation of SoF tables, and export SoF tables to RevMan. GDT also facilitates your assessment of the confidence in effects or quality of evidence (using risk of bias across studies, inconsistency, indirectness, imprecision and publication bias) and the presentation of results.
We will guide participants in a hands-on and step-by-step workshop, to create a SoF table using GDT. Participants can use an example representative Cochrane Review, or choose their own review (provided that meta-analyses are already done). In addition to the presenter, other tutors will be available throughout the workshop to help and support participants, or provide more advanced information.
