Abstract
Background:
The User Experience Group (UXG) was formed in early 2014 with the ambition to revolutionise technical development in Cochrane. It improves on the long-standing software advisory committees by consisting of a smaller number of Central Executive staff, able to focus more efficiently on identifying the most valuable changes to make across all software. However, in order to ensure quality, user engagement and minimise risk, the UXG must also be transparent and consult efficiently as needed.
Objectives:
To describe the group's vision and procedures, and to present results from the first of its quarterly reviews, carried out in June 2014. Or in other words, what experience does the User Experience Group deliver?
