Abstract
Objectives: To discuss and demonstrate the role Cochrane Clinical Answers have in facilitating the use of Cochrane Reviews in healthcare decision-making.
Description: Cochrane Clinical Answers (CCAs; http://cochraneclinicalanswers.com/) aim to place the results of Cochrane Reviews within the context of current clinical practice, and in doing so to increase the usage of Cochrane Reviews by clinicians to inform healthcare decisions. In order to enhance the clinical usability of Cochrane Reviews, CCAs concentrate on the data most relevant to clinicians, filtering this information and placing it into an accessible format.
This workshop will give a brief introduction to CCAs and will then concentrate on their use and how the information in them can be used to inform clinical practice at the point of care. As well as the discussion, participants are requested to bring a laptop, as we will run a practical session to showcase the website to attendees and, using case-based learning, give them the opportunity to become familiar with the functionality of the website, so they can quickly and easily access the information they require.
