Abstract
Objectives:
1. To be introduced to the process of developing a trustworthy evidence summary and connect it to a digitized and structured guideline using the GRADE system through the MAGICapp (www.magicapp.org).
2. To get hands-on experience of the MAGICapp.
Description: Systematic reviewers face challenges in the creation, dissemination and updating of trustworthy evidence summaries. Using an innovative guideline authoring and publication platform (MAGICapp) applying the GRADE framework in a fully digitized and structured manner may overcome these challenges.
We will present an example of use of the GRADE framework for evidence summary and guideline development, from a structured clinical question in PICO format to the making of evidence into an evidence summary.
Participants will split into groups, simulating panels charged with developing an evidence summary for a question with a recently published high quality systematic review. With the help of the MAGICapp participants will follow steps from clinical question through to creation of the evidence summary. They will phrase a PICO question, develop an evidence profile and link references and codes to the evidence summary. Participants will author their evidence summary in a multilayered presentation format and experience the end result published on a variety of devices through the MAGICapp. In a final plenary session the panels will present their draft evidence summaries and and provide feedback.
