Abstract
Objectives: This workshop will explain the Review Manager (RevMan) software and highlight some of the features in RevMan 5. In addition, it will provide an opportunity for participants to get hands-on experience using the software.
Description: RevMan is Cochrane’s software for preparing and maintaining Cochrane Reviews. It is user-friendly and has many features that make the process of writing reviews easier. Text editing features include extended text character support, including Arabic and Chinese; multiple links to study references and figures that can be added with fewer clicks of the mouse; split screen option to view different sections of the review, and support for multiple affiliations for authors. The software also allows the creation and editing of PRISMA flow diagrams. Additionally, RevMan includes a guidance pane based on the Methodological Expectations of Cochrane Intervention Reviews (MECIR).
The workshop will include a demonstration and a practical session, and it is aimed at novice users of the software.
Please note: participants should bring a laptop with RevMan installed to join in this workshop, or may be able to share with another participant.
