Abstract
Objectives: This session aims to help participants develop skills to help them to tap into new funding sources available from trusts, foundation, and the European Union more effectively.
Description: Cochrane is always looking to diversify its sources of funding. With two newly created positions within the Central Executive Team, the EU Fundraising Co-ordinator and the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, this session is a chance to hear from fundraising professionals about how to access these types of funding.
This session will discuss:
- What are funders looking for?
- How to access this new type of funding.
- Tools and templates that can be used to get started in approaching these new funding sources.
The session aims to provide small group discussion and learning on these different areas; to work through real-life examples to learn what approaches are likely to be most effective; and to help participants determine how best to position themselves and their work to improve their funding opportunities. The session will use real-life examples and if participants want to contribute real-world examples, please email kweiss@cochrane.org
