Abstract
Objective: To facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge exchange between experienced Information Specialists around advanced searching techniques for systematic reviews.

Description: The workshop will be an interactive session comprised of small-group discussions/exercises around various searching topics, with feedback to the whole group. We recommend to bringing your own laptop/tablet.

We will send out a pre-workshop survey to participants for topics they would like to see discussed. Possible topics include:

- searching regional literature databases (e.g. KoreaMed, LILACS, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI));
- searching DTA studies, prognostic, complex interventions, etc.;
- Ovid interface 101;
- updating of searches;
- searching trial registries (WHO ICTRP, Japan Primary Registries Network, ClinicalTrials.gov);
- searching Embase through CENTRAL.

By sharing peer knowledge participants will learn from each other about different ways to tackle problems. Although external specialists (eg. representatives from Ovid, Wiley or Embase) can teach us, many information specialists have gathered much knowledge whilst conducting searches. This session is meant to bring that knowledge together so we can learn from each other’s experience. We will collate all information from this session and disseminate it to participants afterwards.

Level of knowledge: Advanced MEDLINE/systematic review search skills.
