Abstract
Objective: To explore EPPI-Reviewer 4's more advanced functions.

Description: EPPI-Reviewer 4 is an online web-based software programme designed to support the production of a wide range of systematic reviews. As part of the CAST (Cochrane Author Support Tool) project, it is available for Cochrane authors and can be used to conduct reviews that require some flexibility in the software in which they are conducted; for example, to accommodate emerging methods, to conduct non-intervention and mixed-methods reviews and/or to develop new methodologies.

This session is suitable for reviewers who are just starting to use EPPI-Reviewer, or are already using the program and are ready to learn more. We will begin by covering how to set up a review in the system and invite other authors into it. After covering basic functionality we will move on to examine EPPI-Reviewer's advanced functions that make it able to support complex reviews, including narrative and qualitative synthesis. This will include setting up complex data extraction tools, configurable report generation and making use of the program's various functions, such as line-by-line pdf coding. The session will include use of EPPI-Reviewer's text-mining functionality for screening prioritisation, data clustering, classification and term extraction.

As the workshop will be a mix of instruction and 'hands-on' activities' participants are encouraged to bring their laptops (Windows or Mac, iOS or Android is not supported).
