Abstract
Objectives: To understand and apply the process of selecting and presenting information from Cochrane Reviews to enable Ministers and senior officials to access and present Cochrane evidence quickly and efficiently via policy briefings.

Description: Ministers, senior officials and policy makers must deal effectively with the matters that arise in their work. They rely on others to give them information and advice in a way that helps them to: grasp the important points; make a decision based on the facts; or be able to advocate a position informed by evidence.

Using examples from the field of health policy and working in small groups participants will:
- review examples of briefings designed to enable Ministers, senior officials and policy makers to effectively use Cochrane evidence;
- learn how to develop concise and targeted briefings on contemporary political or policy scenarios using findings from Cochrane Reviews; and
- share experiences and good practice.
