Abstract
Objectives: To equip participants with key skills to produce a high quality abstracts based on their Cochrane Review posters for presentation at scientific meetings.

Description: Scientific meetings are a powerful tool in knowledge translation and evidence communication for both researcher and professional health care communities. Cochrane authors have the opportunity to use presentations at conferences to share their work with those attending. Research undertaken by Wiley in 2013 highlighted both real and perceived barriers for early career researchers submitting to meetings. This includes lack of skills in knowledge translation and inexperience in synthesizing succinctly work undertaken into an abstract format. This workshop will teach participants how to work with reporting guidelines, and conference advice for submission, to create effective abstracts, so please bring your laptops. Participants are welcome to bring their own abstract projects to build during the workshop, or they can use real examples from Cochrane Kidney and Transplant Review Group. We will make workshop materials available for download in advance from https://seoulworkshop.wordpress.com/. We will share top tips with participants on how to create a high impact abstract and give hands on practice in creating and evaluating an abstract based on a Cochrane Review.
