Abstract
Objectives:
To introduce a revised tool to assess risk of bias in randomized trials

Description:
Evaluations of the Cochrane 'Risk of bias' tool for randomized trials have highlighted some problems. We have addressed these by developing a substantial revision to the tool. The new tool simplifies the domains of assessment, introduces 'signalling question' to facilitate judgements about risk of bias, and includes a procedure for reaching an overall risk of bias in a particular finding from a trial. We will describe the new tool and provide an opportunity for participants to try it out.
