Abstract
Objectives:To familiarize and raise the awareness of participants of how to make systematic reviews impactful by using knowledge translation (KT) strategies and tools with a focus on evidence briefs for policy. Evidence briefs for policy are one of the most common KT tools for influencing policy agenda and action.

Description: The workshop will include the following.
1. Short presentation describing existing approaches to using the findings of systematic review in evidence-informed decision-making (10 min).
2. Short presentation about different KT strategies and tools to package research evidence and support its use in decision-making (20 min).
3. Hands-on exercise about how to prepare evidence briefs for policy (50 min). Participants will be asked to split into groups of three to five, with each group addressing a policy problem relevant to their context. The output will be an early draft for an evidence brief for policy that includes:
- clarifying the problem and its underlying causes;
- framing three policy solutions/options;
- identifying implementation considerations at the patient, provider, organization and system level.
4. Group discussions to share the experience with drafting the policy brief and reflect on the challenges of promoting evidence-informed decision-making (10 min).
