Abstract
Objectives: To explain the Review Manager (RevMan) software and highlight some of the new features in RevMan 5. In addition, to provide an opportunity for participants to get hands-on experience of using the software.

Description: RevMan is Cochrane’s software for preparing and maintaining Cochrane Reviews. It is user-friendly and has many features that make the process of writing reviews easier. Text editing features include extended text character support; the addition of multiple links to study references with fewer clicks; and a split screen option for viewing different sections of the review simultaneously. RevMan also has calculator tool capabilities, permits 'Risk of bias' summaries to be viewed in data tables, and allows the creation and editing of PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) flow diagrams. Additionally, RevMan includes a guidance pane based on the Methodological Expectations of Cochrane Intervention Reviews (MECIR).

The workshop will include a demonstration and a practical session. All participants must bring a laptop to participate in the practical session.
