Abstract
Background:Malaria is endemic to Cameroon with three epidemiological areas. Despite many mass campaigns in recent years on the MILDA routine, their effective use remains marginal in communities.

Objectives: The determinants responsible for this underutilisation are not known. This is in order to remedy this situation;our main objective is to evaluate the usage of MILDA in our country by using EDS/EIP and justify it's low usage.

Methods: We conducted a descriptive and transversal study based on indicators of malaria from the EDS/EIP 2011 Cameroon. Logistic regressions were performed using the stata14 software. The variables analysed included residence, age, sex, region, the availability of the MILDA, the education level of the mother who incites to sleep under MILDA or not, the number of children who slept under MILDA the previous night.

Results: Our results showed that the level of life (p = 0,891); IC =-7233544-1, 451274) as well as the level of education (p = 0, 070; IC = 9755253-1, 870548) were not associated with the use of the LLIN. We found the child was also that older, less he slept under MILDA (p = 0, 186; IC = 3959645-1, 197955)

Conclusions:Increasing the awareness of mothers to make use of the LLIN for their children should be considered.
