Background: Since systematic review needs manual and time-consuming works especially in study selection process and quality assessment, therefore the interest of semi-automation tools for systematic review has been increased.

Objectives: We aimed to figure out the usefulness of semi-automation tools for systematic review in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in Korea for effective systematic reviews.

Methods: An internal-steering group was established including seven members who have experienced on several HTA reports. We are investigating current HTA systematic review process for figure out the possible point of process for application of semi-automation tools. And a pilot of systematic review will be performed for test of various existing semi-automation tools. Finally, the internal-steering group will recommend a new protocol for effective systematic review process for HTA in Korea.

Results: This study started from April 2020 and preliminary result will be figure out until early September.

Conclusions: We would like to recommend effective HTA systematic review process using semi-automation tools in Korea.
