Analysis of Knowledge-attitude-practice Behavior and Influencing Factor for “Internet Hospital” in Community Residents in Guangzhou

Abstract
Background: With the innovation of the concept of "Internet plus initiative", "Internet plus Medical" is also constantly innovating, and "Internet hospital” have been developed. The construction of “Internet hospital” in Guangzhou has been relatively mature, optimized the allocation of medical resources and improved the quality of medical services.
Objective: To analyze the cognition, attitude, behavior and influencing factors for “Internet Hospital” among community residents in Guangzhou, in order to provide a scientific basis for addressing the challenges faced by “Internet hospital”, and clarify the direction for their future development.
Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 512 residents of Guangzhou from November 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020 to understand the purpose, functions, frequency, access, of “Internet hospital” and doctor-patient relationship of Guangzhou residents.
Results: 70.52% of the residents think that the development of Internet hospital is helpful to the improvement of medical system, and 68.16% of the residents think that Internet hospital has a great development prospect. A total of 512 questionnaires were sent out, with 468 of them being valid, resulting in an effectiveness rate of 91.4%. Among the respondents, 47.65%(223/468) had used Internet hospitals, while 245 had not. Univariate correlation analysis showed that gender (χ2=7.401), age (χ2=61.670), educational background (χ2=31.802), occupation (χ2=24.748), medical frequency (χ2=11.647), Level of institutions that frequently seek medical treatment (χ2=11.471) were influencing factors of using Internet hospitals. Furthermore, 70.52% of the residents believed that the development of Internet hospitals is beneficial to the enhancement of the medical system, and 68.16% held the opinion that Internet hospitals possess significant potential for future growth.
Conclusion: The number of people who have used Internet hospital in Guangzhou is less, but their willingness to use Internet hospital is higher, which will be affected by privacy security, price and other reasons. Therefore, it is necessary to guide the residents to use the Internet hospital reasonably by means of reasonable guidance from the government and vigorous publicity from the media and medical institutions
