Other known initiatives underway include efforts to translate The WHO Reproductive Health Library into Vietnamese and the Effective Health Care Alliance Programme Consortium's Evidence Updates - some of which are translated into Chinese and Thai, with plans for French.

Conclusions: With the exception of Spanish language efforts and the WHO Reproductive Health Library there appears to be very little work done in translating Cochrane reviews into the world's majority languages. This can only mean that more work is urgently needed in this area if the Collaboration is to meet its stated goal of "promoting the accessibility of systematic reviews of the effects of healthcare interventions".
