Preparing and writing a Cochrane Effective Practice and Organisation of Care (EPOC) review

Abstract
Objectives: To understand Cochrane and EPOC processes from title registration to review publication and to understand the review methods which are very common in EPOC reviews.

Summary: This workshop will address specific issues related to writing EPOC reviews such as:

- defining an appropriate question;

- using the EPOC taxonomy;

- determining which study designs to include;

- designing the optimal search strategy for an EPOC review;

- using the EPOC register;

- dealing with multiple designs within one review;

- lumping and splitting issues;

- analysing data from complex interventions.

The audience will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.

Level of knowledge required to attend: basic/intermediate.
