Abstract
Objectives: At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

- identify and access appropriate materials useful in teaching others how to start and complete a systematic review;

- decide on inclusion of programme topics and models for in-person training;

- provide examples of how to explain and to demystify the review process.

Summary: The facilitators of this workshop will share their techniques for planning and implementing successful training workshops for systematic review authors. Topics will include: resources to identify and access materials useful in teaching others; participants' registration information needed to customize workshop content; and communication of complex concepts to novice review authors. Targeted towards instructors or facilitators of training workshops, the session will include a brief presentation on each of the topics listed under the objectives, and two concurrent small group exercises for developing an agenda for a protocol development workshop, and identification of resources to develop workshop content, followed by discussion. Examples of workshop evaluation instruments will be distributed.
