An analysis of the current situation of evidence-based methodology of clinical guidelines in China
Abstract summary
We have assessed clinical guidelines from 2013 to 2018 developed by the Chinese medical association or refer to evidence-based medicine. Meanwhile, analyzing the current status of the latest clinical guidelines in China.
Introduction
In recent years. Evidence based clinical practice guidelines are the trend of current domestic clinical practice guidelines. In order to understand the current methodological status of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in China, we collected and screened the clinical guidelines published by the Chinese Medical Association in the past six years from 2013 to 2018 , then evaluated according to the AGREEII scale, with summarizing and analysing.
Methods
1. Literature retrieval and screening strategies
Four team members searched and screened the clinical guidelines published by the Chinese medical association from 2013 to 2018 together with the keyword "clinical guidelines and practical guidelines". (Inclusion criteria: The Chinese medical association develops and refers to guidelines for evidence-based methods. Exclusion criteria: recommendations, translation guidelines, etc.)
2. Evaluation methods
Evaluated according to the AGREEⅡ.
Any different opinion settled through discussion..
Results:
1. 1,619 clinical guidelines were searched and 44 were eventually selected
2. The fields include internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, etc.
3. The number of references in the guide varies from 14 to 173.
4. Most of the experts are members of the branches of the Chinese medical association.
5. The total number of pages in each guide varies from 3-32.
6, guide the evaluation score between 76-135 , out of 161 points.
Conclusion
From 2013 to 2018, the number of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines increased year by year. Guideline development has been standardized in terms of preciseness, clarity, and applicability. However, more than 30 guidelines are lacking in independence and patients participation. Finally, we suggest that the formulation of future guidelines should be based more on various factors. Also standardized training of relevant personnel is of great importance.
