Abstract
"Background
Clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) play a crucial role in standardizing and improving healthcare practices. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in developing CPGs for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in pediatric care. However, the current landscape of CPG development in this area remains largely unexplored.

Objective
We aim to delineate the current landscape of TCM CPGs in pediatrics by identifying key strategies employed in the development of TCM CPGs, comparing features between TCM CPGs and Western medicine guidelines, presenting the quality of TCM CPGs, and exploring the barriers and facilitators of TCM CPG development.

Methods
We conducted a scoping review following The University of Adelaide Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Scoping Review Network Resources and adhering to PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews for reporting. We searched English databases of Ovid MEDLINE and Ovid Embase as well as Chinese databases of Wanfang, CNKI, and SinoMed from the inception to the end of January 2024. We specifically focused on TCM CPGs related to pediatric disease diagnosis and treatment, and identified corresponding research on development methodology and quality assessment. Additionally, we will perform backward and forward citation searches to gather more relevant resources.

Results
A total of 1769 records were retrieved from the search. Following deduplication and initial screening of titles and abstracts, 420 records, including only 3 in English, were retained for full-text assessment. The full-text screening is currently underway. Upon completion of screening, we intend to extract the study characteristics and detailed CPG development steps. Additionally, we plan to conduct the quality assessment using AGREE tools. We will report the final findings at the Global Evidence Summit.

Discussion
The ongoing scoping review will shed light on the status quo of TCM CPG development in pediatrics. The upcoming results will inform future endeavors to improve TCM CGP development and highlight the research gap in TCM CGPs.
