Ethical principles of artificial intelligence (AI): an overview

Abstract
"Background: With the rapid development of science and technology, artificial intelligence has been widely used in various fields. However, there are a range of moral and ethical issues, such as data privacy, algorithmic bias and so on. These issues not only have an impact on personal privacy and rights and interests, but also challenge social fairness and justice. To regulate and guide the development and application of AI, and avoid potential moral hazard and negative effects, people begin to pay attention to and study the ethical issues of AI, and put forward various ethical principles.
Objective: To analyse the ethical principles of artificial intelligence and describe the current status of ethical principles of artificial intelligence using overview.
Methods: PubMed, Cochrane library, Web of Science, CNKI and CBM were systematicaly searched. Studies related to ethical principles of artificial intelligence were retrieved and summarised descriptively. Studies were manually screened and coded by two independent researchers, and any conflicts were discussed with a third researcher.
Results:77 studies met the inclusion criteria. Of all 19 studies cover different aspects of the ethical principles of artificial intelligence, (1) 35 (45.5%) covered the ethical issues of AI application in different aspects of the medical field,5 (6.4%) covered the ethical issues of AI application in education process; (2) 5 (6.4%) covered the main ethical principles or criteria for the AI; (3) 9 (11.7%) covered the ethics of AI robot applications.
Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of AI ethics research to provide a basis for addressing future ethical challenges in AI. "
