Abstract
Background
The legislation calls for "effective and economic healthcare". A concept which allows health professionals to achieve this is called “evidence-based healthcare (EBHC)”. However due to limited resources and knowledge the inclusion of research evidence into daily work is difficult [1].
FIT-Nursing Care is a knowledge platform which can alleviate this process. The platform provides summaries of research studies which are critically appraised. Further the researchers help clinicians answer clinical questions through a literature search and summary of evidence. The platform thus offers nurses a basis for decision making through information from scientific publications, which is available as an option for action in the individual working alliance with the patient [2].

Objectives
The aim of the knowledge platform is to raise awareness of EBHC and provide information to nurses to promote EBHC [2].

Methods
FIT -Nursing Care is provided by researchers from the Institute of Applied Nursing Science at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. FIT-Nursing Care…
•selects, translates, summarizes and appraises research studies relevant to nursing profession in German. To critically appraise the studies, we use JBI instruments translated into German [3].
•answers clinical questions from nursing practice based on a quick literature search and synthesis [2].
•creates evidence-based concepts for long-term care in collaboration with AdvaCare GmbH.
•offers interprofessional further education, training and coaching on the topic of EBHC [2].
•refers to international guidelines, journals, training courses and congresses about EBHC.
•raises awareness to care-related topics and EBHC through monthly topic series and linking to podcast episodes.
•will soon offer an exchange platform for Advanced nursing practitioners to network across institutions.

Results
•258 clinical questions answered*
•1.473 synopses of different study designs (408 Cochrane Reviews, 342 systematic reviews, 515 intervention studies, etc.)*
•24 subject areas (e.g. palliative care, pediatrics, wounds)
•5.313 registered website users *
*as of 16th January 2024

Conclusions
FIT-Nursing Care gives access to a broad range of research findings and helps to integrate EBHC [2]. This can help integrate scientific knowledge into clinical practice and may improve the quality of care [1].
