Abstract
Objectives: The workshop will provide an introduction to the methodology of quality
assessment of diagnostic test accuracy studies. The aim is to provide an overview of the key steps involved in the assessment of methodological quality in a diagnostic test accuracy systematic review.

Summary: The workshop will include an introduction to the five dimensions of quality assessment:

- Concepts of quality;

- Empirical evidence of bias;

- How to assess quality;

- How to incorporate quality into systematic reviews;

- Limitations of measuring and incorporating quality.

The workshop will include interactive exercises involving the assessment and discussion of some design characteristics by reviewing published articles.
